COINS2026

Since its first edition in 2017, the Colloid and Interface Symposium (COINS) has become a premier platform for sharing cutting-edge research in colloid, interface, and soft matter science. COINS2026, to be held July 19–23 in Sydney, Australia, will continue this tradition with an inspiring program exploring the colloid science and physical chemistry at the heart of so much biotechnology and materials innovation.

Hosted by the University of New South Wales (UNSW), COINS2026 will feature invited and contributed talks, and workshop that offer foundational insights into fundamental and emerging areas of colloid and interface science.

This edition will place a special focus on The Colloid Science of Lipid Nanoparticles — from the fusion and stability of LNPs to the interfacial processes that enable RNA delivery and therapeutic design. 

Beyond the exchange of ideas, COINS2026 will provide a vibrant platform for collaboration, innovation, and community — connecting academia, industry, and government to advance the frontiers of colloid and interface science. These sessions will highlight how fundamental colloid science underpins transformative advances in biomedicine, nanotechnology, and sustainable materials.
